Things you won't want to miss in September
Your curated guide to September's arts and culture highlights across Liverpool, Manchester and the North West
Good morning! As you scroll down, you will notice that this monthly paid members exclusive edition of Stored Honey is a little different. That’s because, as promised, I’ve been doing some reader research to find out what you would like to see right here, in this email that I write especially for those who help ensure the newsletter’s continued existence.
In the conversations I’ve been having, two things stood out: 1. That you are not interested in a simple set of listings (there are already plenty out there), which you have to scroll through to get to the gems - but would rather have highlights picked out for you by someone who knows the cultural scene well. 2. That you want to get beyond the press releases to meet the people behind the theatre, events and exhibitions.
So this is the result - a curated selection of ways to spend your spare time each month. It will include quick-to-dip-in highlights of shows opening (so you can stay ahead of the crowd), and those that are closing (so you don’t miss out). There will also be more in-depth suggestions on things to see, read, get involved in and listen to. This monthly guide is intended to complement the weekly free editions, which will continue to feature longer reads as well as things to look out for each week.
Thank you to those who offered their feedback - and if you’d like to have your say on the new format or anything else, you can contact me using this button…
