❄️ The magical Yuletide by Wild Rumpus is returning to Tatton Hall this Christmas for the second year running with an illuminated trail through the gardens, folk stories and music.
🔨 Artists and makers from across Wirral will be showcasing their work in robotics, electronics, crafts, art, coding, 3D printing, VR, woodworking and more at the 2024 Wirral MakeFest on Saturday June 1 at Birkenhead Central Library and The Williamson Art Gallery & Museum.
🪟 A Window to your Neighbourhood, an exhibition exploring the architectural past of Liverpool’s neighbourhoods through artistic interpretation, is opening at dot-art Gallery on June 7 as part of Liverpool Architecture Festival.
🎭 Maxine Peake stars in Robin/Red/Breast at Factory International/Aviva Studios until May 26 - an original production based on the 1970s TV play.
🎨 Bolton-based neo:artists is holding an open exhibition at Rogue Artists Studios in Openshaw, Manchester, until June 28. It’s open every Friday and Saturday from 1-6pm and you need to email neo@neoartist.co.uk at least three days before your visit to make an appointment.
🎼 Simon Trpčeski united with chief conductor Domingo Hindoyan for Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No,1 and Sir Bryn Terfell in Belshazzar’s Feast are just two of the highlights of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2024/25 season, just announced.
🖌️ A colourful new mural co-created by Stockbridge-born, Liverpool-based artist Cherie Grist, local residents and schoolchildren has been unveiled on a gable end of Stockbridge Village’s main row of shops. Produced by community arts organisation Heart of Glass and commissioned by social housing landlord ForHousing, it was developed through a series of workshops with more than 250 people.
🎭 Tickets are on sale now for Shôn Dale-Jones’ one-man show The Duke at Storyhouse Chester on October 3. It weaves together the tragi-comic fate of a family heirloom, the quandary of a scriptwriter stretching his integrity and an unfolding disaster as thousands of children flee their homes.
🌳 Ordsall Hall in Salford is hosting three months of outdoor theatre this summer, including The Importance of Being Ernest, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Jemima Puddle-Duck.
