After an August break, Stored Honey will be back in your inboxes properly at the weekend with your monthly curated guide of things to do in September (paid subscribers get to read the whole thing). But first I wanted to let you know about some new features I’m launching - and how you can get involved.
How to get your work featured in Stored Honey
Firstly, if you are an artist, curator, performer or producer and would like to see your exhibition, performance or cultural event featured in Stored Honey, I have created a new short form for you to fill in. You can continue to email me details or a press release if you have one (via: tostoredhoney@gmail.com) but many individuals or organisations don’t have those or perhaps don’t know what information to share. This form should make it easier. I will include as many submissions as I can in future editions.
New regular features for paid subscribers
While I value every single subscriber to this newsletter, it’s the bare truth that without the support of paid subscribers I would not be able to continue writing Stored Honey. As it stands, paid subs just about cover my expenses but not the time it takes to research and write it each week.
As a big thank you to those of you who are paid already subscribers - and to anyone who decides to sign-up, I’m introducing some extra, regularly-published content that will be available just for you. It will include:
Short on time? Discover the must-see art works and objects chosen by curators of galleries in Liverpool, Manchester and the rest of the North West.
Meet the artist: Artists from Liverpool, Manchester and the rest of the North West share their inspirations, practices and where you can see their work. If you would like to be featured, you can fill in this form.
Self-guided public art tours: Discover the art on our streets at your own pace.
Price increase
Due to rising costs, from October 2025 I will be increasing the price of a Stored Honey paid subscription to £5 per month (£50 for an annual subscription). This will not effect you if you are already a paid subscriber - or if you become one by the end of September 30: You will continue to be charged the current price of £4 per month (£40 for an annual subscription).
If you do intend to subscribe, then please use the box below, rather than signing up via the Substack app. Substack has agreed a deal with Apple that increases the cost of your subs - with 30% of the new total going to Apple. You can read more about that here. Subscribing via the app also seems to make it trickier to cancel your subscription, and means your payment details are held by Apple instead of Substack. So if in the future, I ever move Stored Honey on to a different platform I would not be able to simply transfer your subscription over.
The best way to ensure you’re not signing up through the app is by using one of these sign-up buttons in the newsletter…
Thank you for reading this update. I’ll be back at the weekend with my curated guide of things to do in September.
Have a good week,
Laura
