Meet painter Gareth Kemp
Shining a spotlight on the work of talented creatives across Liverpool, Manchester and the North West
This is the fifth in my new Meet the Creator series, published especially for Stored Honey’s paid subscribers, which delves deeply into the work and values of individual artists, actors, musicians, curators, producers, writers and other creatives. This time, we’re meeting Gareth Kemp, a painter from Liverpool based in a studio at the Bridewell Studios, in Liverpool, an old Victorian police station that houses more than 30 artists. It’s a fascinating place to explore - yet another reason to attend one of Kemp’s exhibitions there.
I was really interested in what he has to say about envisioning the space he is creating work to be displayed in - something that perhaps comes out of his work as an art handler for galleries and a curator at Bridewell.
The regular Meet the Creator feature is published exclusively for paid members to thank them for their support, which is needed to keep Stored Honey running.
