Coming up for you this month, I have a brilliant designer who is gradually becoming better known for her remarkable life and work than she is for being the daughter of a famous man. There are also some exciting dance pieces and a play based on a book that both my children loved when they read it at school - and it taught them about immigration and asylum in a gentle but not-punch-pulling way.

As always, the monthly guide only covers shows that are opening and closing this month - look back at previous guides (here are February’s and March’s) to find long-running exhibitions that are still on throughout April.
