A West End smash hit and a family quest
A quick edition for a sunny spring day
This week’s Stored Honey is a short one. I had two different subjects to write about but an emergency vet trip with one of our pet rabbits meant I had to postpone an interview until next week - and Rachel Maclean’s installation at FACT Liverpool wasn’t ready for visitors when I arrived for the press viewing on Thursday.
It was due to be open for the private view that evening though - so should be up and running if you decide to go and see it before I’ve had the chance to go back and write about it.
This does all mean that I have will have plenty of juicy things to share with you over upcoming Stored Honey editions - including something new I’m working on that’s just for paid supporters. I’ve been waiting for spring to arrive before finishing it - that’s a very vague clue so I’ll be very impressed if you can figure it out from that.

Paper Bag Archive offers a fascinating and fun dive into British retail and social history in its exhibition at Dorothy, in Liverpool, which displays 200 bags from its 2500+strong archive (the world’s largest collection of paper bags).
It has been curated to explore the evolution of the visual language of big retail brands such as Habitat and Selfridges, Liverpool’s own shops including George Henry Lee, Owen Owen, Lewis’s, Hendersons and Blacklers), museums and galleries and Dorothy’s favourite Liverpool record store, Probe. Ends Friday 27 March.
